Come and Enjoy the Dawn Chorus

With a window ajar, you can lie in bed and enjoy one of the natural highlights of the year. Here on the mountainside, there is also no vehicle noise to spoil the show: it is a delight! April and May are great times to listen to birds as they attract mates, defend territories and simply sing.

We’ve worked hard planting trees, managing hedges and leaving rough patches to provide places for birds to live. And because we farm organically, there is a lot more insect life than on conventional farms. In short, we’ve lots of bird song to enjoy.
